How to Eat Pasta and Spaghetti the Right Way

Did you know that there is a specific way to eat pasta and spaghetti? Most non Italians don't have a clue how to eat the Italian national dish correctly, most will either eat with a spoon and fork or just cut it up with a knife and fork into small pieces and eat away.

Of course you are free to do what you like in this world and it's not a criminal offense to eat pasta in any way you please, you can pick the plate up and slurp it without any eating utensils whatsoever - you may get some funny looks though! The classic way that non- believers eat spaghetti or tagliatelle is to wind the long ribbons around a fork but use a spoon to wind IN. This is not right and if you were to ever go to a posh Italians house and do this you would be frowned upon. So what is the right way to do it. Well all you need is a fork. Most pasta dishes are served in bowls in Italy and so all you do is push the food away from you exposing a small part of the bowl and just capture a few strands with one of the prongs of your fork. Now just wind the fork (in a clockwise direction if you really want to do it properly) to capture the noodles and wrap them around your eating iron into a nice neat, scoff able ball. The noodles are designed to be just the right length - 10" so that when you use this technique it works perfectly. Try it next time you eat pasta and bask in the glow that you are now a substantially more cultured individual.
